An estate beneath the windmill
Here, wind served the estate. By 1902, the windmill at Le Clône was in operation, supplying water for domestic use and distillation. Its tower, wells, basin and machinery preserve a history of natural power and human ingenuity.
On 20 December 2006, the windmill, including its tower, wells, basin and complete mechanism, was listed as a French historic monument.
